Grady Hillhouse
Grady Hillhouse is an author, civil engineer, and science communicator widely known for his educational video series Practical Engineering, currently one of the largest engineering channels on YouTube with over 3 million subscribers. Grady’s videos, which focus on homebuilt demonstrations of engineering concepts, have garnered media attention from around the world and been featured on the Discovery and Science Channels. Grady’s first book, Engineering in Plain Sight, is a vibrant journey into the world of civil infrastructure, transforming everyday structures into fascinating subjects for readers of all ages. Published in 2023 by No Starch Press, the book has garnered widespread praise and secured positions on several bestseller lists.
Hillhouse is a licensed civil engineer and spent nearly ten years in private practice working on a wide variety of infrastructure projects with a focus on dams, hydraulic structures, and river bank restorations. He holds degrees from Texas State University and Texas A&M University and lives with his family in Texas.

Wesley is an editor, actor, and plant enthusiast living in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Texas, his love of movies got him a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting from Texas State University. When he’s not working on the channel or watering his plants, you can usually find him playing video games.
Ralph Crewe (Writer/Producer)
Ralph is a science communicator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With over a decade of experience at a major science museum, he has also written for Universe Today, Veritasium, SciShow, and has a host of appearances on various podcasts and television shows. He cohosts Nerd Nite Pittsburgh, a live lecture series featuring silly and nerdy talks by experts in a relaxed bar/club setting. When not acting as a professional nerd, he is a working electric bassist, playing several Pittsburgh groups. He loves birdwatching, bike riding, walking his dog, and doing crossword puzzles.
